Taking the first flight of the day means that it is unlikely that it will be delayed.

When on a road trip, it is an ideal time to listen to your favorite pre-recorded music on while enjoying the ride. It is frequently difficult to find appropriate or clear local radio stations as you drive from one place to another, so having your own source of music is a good idea.
